Brad Westwood is a retired archivist, museum curator and public historian. He was formerly senior public historian for Utah, the director of the Utah State Historical Society and Utah's SHPO (State Historic Preservation Officer) from 2013 to 2018. He was also the manager of acquisitions for the LDS Church History Department from 2008 to 2013. From 1995 to 2008 he was an archivist, then assistant department chair, then chair of the L. Tom Perry Special Collections at BYU. While at BYU, Brad originated and served as cofounder—with Scott Duvall, another former department chair—of this conference, some twenty years ago.
